On 09&10/12/2011 an international Boulder meeting was held in Fuerteventura. The excercise was held in the Betancuria Massiv and participants from Spain, France, Canada and the US joined the event. Find here some pictures. {oziogallery 101017}

 

OKAPI, a lot of volunteers and visitors succeeded on the 29 of August to collect about 1.500,- Euros for the rescue, feeding and medical assistance of the more than 300 abandoned animals in the municipal perreras. In the name of those pets: "Thank you all for your kind support".

„Annual Cocktail Party & Gourmet Dinner at El Patio de Lajares on 13/08/2011.“

The annual Cocktail Party & Gourmet Dinner at El Patio de Lajares was, again, an exclusive event and a culinary experience. The scenery, the mouth-watering delicacies, the drinks and wines, and the service… it all came to harmony and made this evening unforgettable. Rainer was the only man standing in the kitchen and still managed to prepare the dishes on time for all those present. Hanna attended all tables with her love and care and let us feel welcome. A truly fine evening and a wonderful initiative… look at the pictures, enjoy them… and make sure you offer yourself a seat at the next occasion.

The bar/restaurant Boardriders was host to a splendid fashion show, held in the shopping centre "El Campanario". All participants were businesses, located in the centre. Find here a picture summary on the evening...

The yearly music festival "Fuerteventura en Musica" or "FuerteMusica" in short was held this year on 1&2/07 in Cotillo. The groups that performed were:
Day1: Blues de Gofio, Expavi, Raimundo Amador, Terrakota

Day2: Alex Cuba, Domu Africa Dub Squad, Dervish, Juan Perro

The musical link between the groups was done by DJ Pablo DUB.

Situated in the beautiful scenery of the Cotillo beaches, the festival was once again a winner. Have a look for yourself:

Hurley and Las Gatas organise their 2nd Fashion Show at Boardriders.

On Sat 23/04 at 21:00 Hurley and Las Gatas showed their collection of summer clothing at the famous Bar/Restaurant Boardriders in Corralejo. Las Gatas presented a new collection of exclusive Italian fashion designs and Hurley showed their summer and beach wear.

The event was spiced by DJ Sylvia's music and the evening continued with "High Tide" the famous Blues-Rock-Funk band from the UK.

All together a vibrant night with Dinner, Cocktails, Shows, Music & Dance. Whatelse do you need?

Hurley, Boardriders and Las Gatas are located in the shopping centre "El Campanario".

6th INTERNATIONAL BLUES FESTIVAL CORRALEJO - FUERTEVENTURA.

The Blues Festival Corralejo 2011 included three main activities: the stage performances on the square Patricio Calero - Corralejo by 6 groups, the street performances by many local musicians and the frequent guest performances of the group High Tide in the Boardriders Bar/Restaurant in the popular shopping Centre El Campanario. Spirit of Fuerteventura has coverage on all of them, by video and/or by pictures. Have a look and enjoy!

Sport Ausstellung (2011) - Pozo Negro - Fuerteventura.

FERIA DEL DEPORTE 2011 - POZO NEGRO - FUERTEVENTURA -  BILDER.

Vor allem junge Familien und Jugendliche hatten eine Menge Spass neue Sportarten auszuprobieren. Der Eintritt war frei und jeder konnte überall mitmachen, so zum Beispiel bei: Dünensurfen, Pooltauchen, Karting, Boxen, Karate, kanarischem Ringkampf, Sumoringen, kanarischem Boule, Fussball, War Games (Gotcha), und noch einiges mehr. Die Hauptatraktionen waren Bungee-Springen vom Kran und ein echter Eislaufplatz. Natürlich waren einige typische Fuerteventura-Sportarten wie Surfen und Tauchen auch vertreten, wie Deep Blue Diving, Mystic und Swimfuerte. Insgesamt eine vielversprechende Veranstaltung, die wirklich Zukunft hat.

{/slide}After 2 successful years, the FWC have decided to adapt the concept of the event with the idea of further pushing the action! The riders will still judge themselves but will have fight to win the FWC 2011 individual tittle this time. To ensure sportsmanship and fairness we will have an independent head judge to oversee the event. We hope to be able to offer you more radical images like this, and, at the end of the event we will have a male and female FWC 2011 champion. (Info FWC)
